The BMW X4 and Toyota RAV4 are not considered as competitors. As a premium car, the BMW X3 is significantly more expensive than the RAV 4, and it also comes with more powerful engines. There is no denying that it is a luxurious and performance-oriented vehicle. The RAV4 is also a best-selling vehicle for Toyota, and it isn’t a bad car by any means. It’s just that it caters to a different segment. So which one is better in off-road situations? Check out this review by the Fast Lane Car.

The review basically shows the difference between BMW’s rear-drive-biased xDrive all-wheel drive system and Toyota’s front-drive-biased system with a center locking diff. The Colorado Gold Mine Hill was perfect to test this out because of its almost 9,000 ft of elevation. As expected though, the BMW takes home the winning crown.
