[Video] MINI Cooper SE upholds the ‘fun’ legacy

One cannot separate MINI and “fun.” Describing the car has always come with the “fun to drive” description. Even though fun was not its original goal 60 years ago, fortunately, the car became one. And as expected, the MINI Cooper SE upholds the ‘fun’ legacy of MINIs. The guys from MotorWeek attest to that in this featured video.

As we embrace the new era of electric cars, MINI’s presents the Cooper SE as is first in line. With BMW’s help, Oxford engineers created a powerful yet fun shape for the Cooper SE. The engineers did a great job starting with the base. Indeed, a 2-door structured MINI gives the fun drive everyone would love to have. Giving it the instant torque guarantees an even much better driving experience. Also, the added weight from the batteries does not ruin the fun. The batteries are not too big and bulky – nothing to worry about the weight penalty.

In the featured video, MotorWeek shows how the MINI Cooper SE upholds the fun factor of MINIs. The Cooper SE impressed the guys with how fun driving can be with an electric car. Luckily, MotorWeek got their hands on one of the MINI electric prototypes BMW provided for some owners. And the MINI truly captured the interest of the guys with how much comment they gave. They also gave an intriguing note on the new model’s range as compared with older prototypes.

Nevertheless, the current Cooper SE feels more refined and less like an experiment. Unlike the older versions, the new one feels more like a finished MINI car. It perfectly fits as an everyday driver. It provides all expected features for a city car, especially because it has zero emissions. The compact shape and size also fit in the busy streets of the city. Watch the video review and tell us what you think.
