Manhart MH4 900 is an unapologetic statement of intent, elevating BMW’s featherweight M4 CSL to hypercar territory with a claimed 922 horsepower. The German tuner has kept the original 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six, proving that Munich’s S58 unit can still surprise when treated to meticulous hardware upgrades and a bespoke calibration.

A larger intercooler, uprated turbochargers, forged pistons and strengthened connecting rods headline the mechanical transformation, while an ECU rewrite extracts 878 lb ft of torque—nearly double the CSL’s factory output. Power continues to flow through BMW’s eight-speed M Steptronic, now fortified by Manhart’s Stage 2 internals and protected by a sturdy rear roll cage for those drivers brave enough to deploy launch control.

The soundtrack has been remastered, too. A stainless-steel system developed with Remus channels spends gases through 110 mm carbon-sleeved tips, its rasp matched by coil-over suspension and revised geometry that sharpen turn-in without sacrificing compliance. Carbon-ceramic discs remain stock yet more than capable, and bespoke H&R hardware keeps body movements disciplined as the coupe chases triple-digit speeds.
Styling cues underline the power hike. Champagne pinstripes slice through Black Sapphire paint, while carbon-fibre spreads across the vented bonnet, skirts, diffuser and mirror caps. New 20-inch front and 21-inch rear forged wheels fill the arches, wrapped in Michelin rubber that must now marshal almost one thousand horsepower to the asphalt.
Limited to only one thousand units in CSL form, the base car was already a Nürburgring hunter; Manhart’s work turns it into a straight-line rocket as well. With hypercar punch, rear-drive purity and the composure of BMW’s finest brakes and suspension, the MH4 900 redefines what a road-legal M-car can deliver—lunatic shove dressed in lightened, carbon-rich couture.
