The New BMW X1 xDrive28i Now Comes with the M Sport Package

Before it arrives in the U.S. market, the 2023 BMW X1 xDrive281 stands out in this recent review. Here’s a close-up look at the M Sport Package version with a Portimao Blue exterior. The BMW X1 isn’t exactly inexpensive, starting at roughly $40,000 (after destination). But it offers a lot of vehicles for the price. Additionally, of all BMWs that aren’t M, it boasts the best colour variety.

Phytonic Blue, Storm Bay (Gray), Portimao Blue and San Remo Green are some of the colour options for the BMW X1. This also includes the colours Cape York Green, Frozen Pure Grey and Utah Orange. All of these look great on the BMW X1, considering they are metallic. Also, inside are a few excellent choices. Along with the red/black leather and dark brown Mocha leather, there is also a black Alcantara option.

For the time being, the xDrive28i will be the only model to have the xDrive under the 2023 BMW X1 lineup that will launch soon in the United States. Utilizing the Mille combustion cycle, it uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged gasoline engine. The dual injection is a recent addition to the engine, which produces 295 pound-feet (400 Newton-metres) of torque between 1,500 and 4,000 rpm and 241 horsepower between 4,500 and 6,500 rpm. A new 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) also exclusively matches the said engine. Together, they accelerate the X1 xDrive28i from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 6.2 seconds. With standard tires, it has a top speed of 130 mph (209 km/h). Meanwhile, its performance tires increase to 149 mph (240 km/h).

The BMW X1 xDrive28i now has shifting paddles behind the steering wheel that also enable a Sport Boost feature thanks to the M Sport Package. In terms of exterior features, the sporty package includes an Adaptive M suspension, optional 19 or 20-inch wheels, and Shadowline trim. There is, of course, an aero kit with sports-inspired design elements.

Launching in Q4 2022, the US-spec xDrive28i will cost $38,600 plus $995 for shipping. Later on, the X1 M35i, an M Performance model with quad exhaust tips, will be available. It will have about 300 horsepower.
