The new generation of BMW X3 will soon be revealed in 2011. This new BMW X3 is said to be the toughest competition of Audi Q5, Volvo XC60 and the upcoming Land Rover LRX as well. Approximately 600,000 units were already sold since the BMW X3’s release back in 2003, but it still fails to match the sales of BMW X5. The 2011 BMW X3 will be powered by four and six cylinder turbo diesels, a 3.0-litre turbocharged six cylinder gasoline engine similar to the BMW 535i Gran Turismo, and a ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox as well. It’s slighty bigger size will distinguish it from X3 and the entry X1.
