1980 BMW M1 with 2,747 miles being Sold of eBay

It’s not everyday that a 1980 BMW M1 supercar is sold on eBay. Only 456 of these were built by BMW. This M1 made its debut at the 1978 Paris Motor Show, showcased as the first creation of the now famous M division. It was designed by the famous Giorgetto Giugiaro. The M1 was initially intended for the racetrack, but BMW produced a limited run of street-legal models, powered by a mid-mounted naturally aspirated 3.5-liter straight-six delivering 277 horsepower matted to a five-speed manual gearbox. Top speed is at 260 km/h.

This specific car on sale has only 4,418 kilometers on the odometer. The owner says that this is in very good condition, original, garaged for all of its life, barely driven, and pampered in a German private residence. After it surpassed the 25 year age requirement, it was transferred to the US. The car is open for bidding as we speak. The current bid is USD201,000.
