BMW X1 Sport Collection Brings Upgraded kit for the Australian Market

The BMW X1 Sport Collection arrives in Australia to give the entry-level sDrive 18i a sharper edge and a richer specification sheet. BMW has wrapped the compact SUV in full M Sport bodywork, swapped in 18-inch bi-colour alloys and bolted on adaptive M suspension, then topped it off with a panoramic glass roof and a choice of four metallic paints. A discreet badge delete keeps the look clean, letting the fresh bumpers and sculpted side skirts speak for themselves.

Inside, black faux leather remains, but the cabin gains illuminated Hexacube trim, heated and electrically adjustable front seats with memory for the driver, and the latest curved-screen infotainment running wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A powered tailgate, head-up display, adaptive cruise control, and keyless entry round out a specification that eclipses the regular car’s factory options list.

Under the bonnet, nothing changes, which is no bad thing. The lively 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder continues to deliver 115 kW and 230 Nm to the front wheels through a slick seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, while the adaptive chassis promises a more composed ride when cruising and tauter body control through bends.

Deliveries start in the third quarter of 2025, positioning the BMW X1 Sport Collection as the sweet spot for buyers who want the style and dynamic hardware of the xDrive 20i without stepping up to its more powerful drivetrain. It packs the visual drama and handling hardware enthusiasts crave, all wrapped in a compact SUV that remains easy to live with every day.
