The IAA motor show will be held in Munich, the BMW Group’s home city. For the first time, this happens after 70 years in Frankfurt am Main. Exhibitors will reveal their most recent innovations from September 7 to September 12, 2021. They will also discuss future mobility with trade professionals and members of the public during this six-day event. The main topics will naturally focus on sustainability and urban mobility. BMW announced today that they will be attending the 2021 IAA. According to our sources, the Bavarian automaker will prioritize electro-mobility.
The format of the show alternates between indoor and outdoor exhibits. It can be found in locations such as Marienplatz, Max-Joseph-Platz, and Odeonsplatz. The BMW Group will welcome the guests to the exhibition grounds. The group is also probably the largest exhibitor at the IAA. The team will tour the guests to BMW’s “four-cylinder building†headquarters, the BMW Museum, and the BMW Welt. At Max-Josef-Platz in front of the Bavarian State Opera, the BMW Hubs is also part of the tour where the guests will discover sustainability and circular economy themes.
Using the basic principles of circular design – “Re: think, Re: use, Re: duce, and Re: cycleâ€, BMW will set up the RE: BMW Circular Lab where guests can collaborate to explore and shape the future. Visitors will also get their first hands-on experience with the two new BMW electric vehicles, the i4, and iX, at the BMW Hub. The hydrogen fuel-cell drive system will be the concentration of the BMW Hub. The BMW I Hydrogen NEXT, which will serve as a shuttle in the Blue Lane linking the BMW Hub and the BMW Welt, will be one of the show cars.
At this year’s IAA, BMW Motorrad will also display three pioneering models. The BMW CE 04 electric scooter will also be part of this year’s show with a complete re-thought design. The IAA now gives the public a chance to view and get in contact with the CE 04, which had its world premiere on July 7, 2021. BMW Motorrad will also exhibit its two other enthralling concept studies aside from the emission-free BMW CE 04 scooter.
The new MINI Urbanaut will be the main feature of the MINI brand at this year’s IAA. The new concept vehicle will be shown in model form at the MINI HUB in the Open Space. It will provide visitors with their first physical experience with the vehicle.
