BMW M2 CS Might Use Detuned S55 Engine From M3/M4

The rumors say the BMW M2 CS will be here soon and apparently it will feature the same engine we can see in the BMW M3 and M4. With the help of the S55, it will deliver around 400 HP.

BMW M2 CS Might Use Detuned S55 Engine From M3/M4

Another rumor states that this the 2018 M2 CS will be the successor of the current M2. That means it won’t be a model offered next to the M2, but rather replace it. The CS symbol means Clubsport and it shows the better performance which the car will be able to deliver with its upgraded engineering layouts.

The 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged straight-six engine will deliver 400 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. The car will probably feature the same transmission choices: the six-speed manual and 7-speed M-DCT.
