BMW M1 Procar to Appear at Pebble Beach

The BMW M1 was initially developed in cooperation with Lamborghini, but the car never had any luck. The fact that the car couldn’t be certified to compete in FISA competitions didn’t help. That inspired BMW to create a motorsport competition for M1 dubbed Procar only. However, due to the fact that it was limited to the BMW M1, the competition’s popularity quickly decreased.

BMW M1 Procar to Appear at Pebble Beach

Only 40 M1 Procars were ever made, and only one of them was turned into a street legal model. That one car will appear at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this week. The Thermal Club announced a virtual reality track experience for everyone interested in ‘trying out’ the car. The club’s founder Tim Rogers said:
