[Video] The All-new BMW M4 Competition vs the Chevrolet Corvette

Previously, we have seen the all-new BMW M4 Competition compete against the Chevrolet Corvette in a drag race over a quarter-mile straight line. In this new video, the guy from Edmunds will give us his insight about these two-door sports car that both generates 500 horsepower to see who will perform best on the road. Check out this video clip for an in-depth review.

Cross shoppers between these two cars haven’t been typical in the past. Those who adore the American icon and the Corvette’s followers are unlikely to consider an M3 or M4 as a viable alternative. This is due to a variety of factors such as price and, most significantly, the engine options. In terms of pricing, the German car has historically been the more expensive option.

For this generation, the new Corvette is a mid-engine automobile. It fundamentally affects how other models are compared to it. Furthermore, in this hybridised and electrified world we live in, it still uses a massive, naturally aspirated V8 which is rare nowadays. The M4, on the other hand, has a smaller engine but produces more power and torque. It is because of the combined forces of two turbochargers.

However, everything isn’t all about the numbers. But it does matter how a car makes you feel at the end of the day. Therefore, the guys from Edmunds came to an intriguing conclusion after so much deliberation. If you desire powerful acceleration or an engine beneath the hood of your car, they say the M4 should be your choice. Even though it isn’t faster than the Corvette, the all-new BMW M4 Competition is a lot of fun to drive. It is because of the way it delivers power and brakes traction. The M4 also comes with back seats and can serve as a reliable everyday driver.
