2024 BMW M2 Debuts in Striking Frozen Grey

The G87 BMW M2 will soon feature more vibrant colours, yet intriguing options are currently available. Mzansi BMW in South Africa presents the first look at the 2024 BMW M2 in Frozen Grey. The G87 M2 shines in these images; its Frozen Pure Grey exterior is matched with red brake callipers, black wheels, and a carbon fibre roof. This version is a right-hand drive tailored for the South African market.

Last summer, BMW expanded its colour palette with Frozen Portimao Blue and Frozen Pure Grey, addressing some initial critiques of its colour offerings. The existing lineup includes Toronto Red, Black Sapphire, Alpine White, Zandvoort Blue, and Brooklyn Grey.

We previously shared news of incoming colours: Fire Red, Voodoo Blue, Sao Paulo Yellow, Java Green, and Skyscraper Grey. Future BMW M2 models could also sport Grigio Telesto and Twilight Purple. These distinctive or individual colours are likely to command a premium price.

The G87 M2’s most notable update later this year is a power boost. It’s expected to deliver 480 PS, equivalent to about 473 horsepower. The 2025 BMW M2, equipped with an automatic transmission, will feature 600 Newton meters (442 lb-ft) of torque.

The six-speed manual M2 will also enjoy the power increase, but its torque will stay at 550 Nm (405 lb-ft). This limitation stems from the design and engineering of the six-speed manual. It’s important to note that the standard M2 model will utilize this enhanced S58 engine setup. In 2024, the car will not carry a Competition designation.
