ALPINA’s facelifted B3 S and B4 S models will be first seen in public at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. The two new cars bring visual and powertrain changes, including much higher churn in performance.
The updated straight-six 3.0 litre engines churn an impressive 324 kW (440 PS) and a maximum torque of 660 Nm at 3.000 U/min. In fact, 600 Nm of torque is available across a wide range between 2000 rpm and 5000 rpm. Matted to the world-class ZF 8-Speed Sport-Automatic Transmission it propels the BMW ALPINA B3 S Bi-Turbo in just 4.3 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and on to a top speed of 306 km/h for the Saloon respectively 303 km/h for the Touring.
BMW Efficient Dynamics technologies like the Auto Start Stop and Sailing contributes to the great fuel consumption of only 7.9 – 8.1 l/100 km and 180 – 185 g/km CO2 combined measured to ECE norm.
The BMW ALPINA B3 S Bi-Turbo has a subtle yet powerful appearance. The most visible design featured include a front spoiler, chrome kidney grill, standard LED headlights, LED fog lights, AkrapoviÄ stainless steel exhaust system, Leather Dakota for the interior, Sport Seats with electric seat adjustment, Park Distance Control, metal emblems in the seat backrests and in the floor mats, and of course the exclusive production plaque with model-specific build number.
All variants aside from the B4 S Convertible are also available with four-wheel drive as an option. The BMW Alpina B4 S Coupé’s traction, for example, contributes to the fact that the 100 mark drops after 3.9 seconds and reaches 200 km/h after 13.4 seconds.
