The BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo didn’t become an immediate success at its launch. Much of the fault was on its predecessor, the 5 Series GT, which wasn’t exactly loved by the BMW fans. However, the Bavarians managed to create the most beautiful GT car yet and it wears the 6 Series GT badge.
But the 6 Series Gran Turismo ended up being appreciated by lots of institutions and customers. It has now won the EuroCar Body Award for 2017. This is the third time BMW wins this award – the i8 won it in 2014 and the 7 Series won in 2015.
The juries were particularly impressed by the efficient development and production concept. The car’s body provides plenty of customer benefits and that was also taken into account.
