The first BMW 3 Series LCI vehicles are making their way to showrooms worldwide. This is the touring model, but most of these updates apply to the sedan and waggon versions. BMW 330e Facelift wears Skyscraper Grey Metallic paint and two-tone 18″ 848 M alloy wheels with double spokes.
The 330e Facelift’s updated interior has a mix of Sensatec and fabric. However, the most noteworthy change included with the mid-cycle refresh is the standardisation of iDrive eight in the entire 3 Series range. It incorporates a 14.9-inch touchscreen in place of the previous temperature controls and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. BMW’s interior designers shortened the primary air intakes to accommodate the latter. The manual gearbox lever has been replaced by a sleek rocker switch in the LCI version of the 3 Series.
This BMW 330e Touring is rear-wheel drive and is available with or without xDrive. It has a turbocharged 2.0-litre gas engine and an electric motor that produces 292 horsepower and 420 Newton-meters (309 pound-feet) of torque. That provides it with enough hybrid power for a 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in a more than respectable 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 143 mph (230 km/h). It can travel up to 38 miles (61 km) in the WLTP cycle on electric power alone and has a top speed of 87 mph (140 km/h).
The 330e Touring may not have the most exciting features compared to the M340i, but it is one of the most affordable BMWs. The futuristic electrified drivetrain and emphasis on luxury over sportiness make it a future car. The 3 Series Touring is still unavailable in the United States, unfortunately.
