While we’re waiting for the new G20 BMW 3 Series to be released next year, we’re hearing all kinds of rumors. The last one states that there will be an all-electric version of the model, as reported by Auto Express.
If this happens, the car might be called Sports eDrive, states Auto Express. We’re not so sure about the name, but the whole idea isn’t impossible. The electric 3 Series is supposed to have a 90Ah battery pack with a 480km range.
The “Sports eDrive” would be a direct Tesla Model 3 rival. Since the Model 3 was purposefully created to compete with the 3er, we expect a fair fight and a bit better car from BMW, enough to make Tesla fans doubt their choice. The price will be a big factor of who will win.
