The 2012 BMW 3 Series has been spied doing some testing in California. It was heavily camouflaged but the muscular and toned appearance of the car is evident. The new design language of BMW is also being used in the car, as expected. The kidney grille is wider and positioned a bit lower that previous BMW vehicles. The materials that will be used for the interior of this vehicle will be high-end, just like what is used in the 5 Series interior. Based on this spy video, it also shows a leaner and a cleaner design:
