[VIDEO] Watch The BMW M3 E46 Take the Nurburgring

The M3 E46 is already good on the track. But some owners have made modifications that make it more track-ready. Like this M3 E46 released this year on the BMW M’s 50th anniversary. Watch the BMW M3 E45 take the Nurburgring packed with track-ready mods.

Specifically, this M3 E46 comes with a carbon airbox and a remapped 3.2-liter engine. But the naturally aspirated S54 engine remains the same.

The inline-six engine expands from its standard 343 horsepower to a 360 hp. This speed matches with the M3 CSL. Talking about the Coupe Sport Lightweight, BMW made this a highly modified one. It adopts a similar guiding principle of carbon fiber fenders and rear seat removal. Also, it lacks air conditioning which would be helpful on a hot summer day at the Nürburgring.

Aside from these modifications, the M3 E46 now rides on 18-inch Apex wheels. The 265/35 R18 Dunlop Direzza tires wrap around these wheels. It is also paired with AP Racing brakes. The quarter and rear windows are plastic-made to reduce weight further. Also, the door cards have been streamlined and now include a strap.

They also improved the M3 E46’s cabin to look as track-focused as possible. This includes the Recaro bucket seats to the full roll cage. German public roads will not tolerate its quad exhaust and the aftermarket wheels. Understandably, the entire purpose of the build is to make it fast and fun on the track.

The video clearly shows that the car is a delight to drive. Even the talented driver enjoys pushing it to the limit as they pass one car after another. The owner once took this M3 E46 on a long trip that spanned 3,500 kilometers (2,174 miles). Watch the BMW M3 E46 packed with track-ready mods take the Nurburgring in this video.
