It’s the V8 M3. The only V8 M3 that BMW ever made. Like M3s before it, the E90/92 introduced a new engine: the S65. 8 cylinders, Vee formation, 414HP, 295ft-lbs of torque, and a sound that no M3 before or after could match. But, as cars do, it was bigger than its predecessor, wider, and heavier. Had it lost its way, or was it true to what the M3 had always been: a do-all car that lights your hair on fire without sacrificing comfort?
