The subtle yet effective modifications brought by the recent facelift will please the people looking for a new BMW X3 M or X4 M units. Their added tech and slightly upgraded looks make the newly unveiled M SUV’s even more popular and engaging. This leaves us to a dilemma: go for the new looks and get some upgraded tech in the process or buy a pre-facelift model for likely a cheaper price? As you know, important details couldn’t be eft out. However, there is a noticeable difference compared to older such clips. Their usual setup is a host in front of the camera, which shows the changes. But this time, all we got was a voiceover.

Nonetheless, the goal is still there. The clip clearly points out what changed on the cars, from the front bumper to the headlights, grilles and even corona rings. Both cars come on new wheel styles: Sao Paolo Yellow and Frozen Marina Bay Blue. Meanwhile, you can opt for customized callipers in three colour choices. At the back, both cars got smaller changes. The X4 M has a new bumper while the X3 M comes with new taillights.

As reported by BMW, the new M cars will also carry upgraded engines. Under the hood is an S58 3-litre straight-six engine, similar to the version used on the new M3 and M4. It only means that it’s now more durable due to the newly integrated forged crankshaft and a new oil pan among other things.
