[Video] G80 BMW M3 spotted tiring wheels as it is set to hit production

Something special is about to happen this September – the much awaited G80 M3 and G82 M4 will be officially unveiled on the 23rd. Just recently, the G80 M3 was spied out on the usual BMW proving grounds, tiring wheels as it hit for another lap. The testing period is nearly over by now and from what it looks like, the prototype is ready to get in production.

The new G80 M3 will set a collection of “first-times” for this iconic model. For a start, it will be pioneering the feature of such huge grille. And in case you missed the rumor about the new M3 and M4 models getting a huge set of bars upfront. Well, it was actually true and this prototype proves it.

Indeed, massive nostrils are on its way and it’s too late to do anything about it. So whether you like it or not, you will welcome the M3 like this. One thing we do hope, though, is that its driving mode will make up for all of it.

Fortunately, the G80 M3 seems serious when it comes to performance as it owns an S58 3-liter straight six under its hood. Additionally, both the M3 and M4 will be offered in two power setting: 480 and 510 HP. Equipped with all-wheel drive and an 8-Speed automatic gearbox. This is a first in over 30 years of production of the M3. Nonetheless, the manual and rear-wheel drive option will still be available for those who want it.

The cars are yet to arrive in dealerships in 2021 and that’s for the best. After all, the year 2020 isn’t worthy of hosting the first deliveries of these amazing M cars.
