Based on these spy photographs, the new BMW 1 Series will be the first BMW vehicle to get integrated side mirror indicator lights. Previous BMW 1 Series prototypes have been spotted with an orange tape on its side view mirrors to hide this feature. At the time when these should have been removed already, these photos still show the orange tape on the vehicle. Beneath the orange tapes, there seems to be some perforations; indicating a reflective plastic material underneath.
