A BMW insider reports that a 1 Series new concept is on the works. As an answer to consumers who needed flexibility and extra space for the family, the BMW Compactive Sport Tourer and BMW Advanced Sport Tourer models were rumored to be prepared since May 2010. However, we believe that if these models do exist, they are still in the early phases of development.
The new rumored concept will be a part of the Compactive Sports Tourer portfolio which includes the BMW Family Activity Sports Tourer, Â BMW Compactive Sports Tourer and the 3 Series based Advanced Activity Sports Tourer.
If these rumors are true, then BMW still has a lot in store for the market after the MegaCity Vehicle is launched. Design will take a transition and move towards a more modern design language. The same BMW insider said that this design will not include a smaller kidney grille, larger taller and thinner brake intakes that fold with the sheet metal, more like the Vision Efficient Dynamics style.
