BMW Gran Coupe will be labelled as 6 Series Sedan

Rumor has it that the BMW Grand Coup Concept will be released as a 6 Series Sedan. Most likely, it will also go into production during the second quarter of 2012.

Though built to resemble the backbone of 5-series, 7-series and 5 GT, BMW insiders say it will be branded as a 6 Series still — against previous rumors that this will be badged as an 8 Series.

BMW plans to carry on a lot of the design features of the BMW Grand Coup in their future models. It is a good combination of a GT and a sports car so many are very excited about this concept to finally go into production.

If this does indeed go into production in the 2012, the BMW Gran Coupe or 6 Series Sedan will most likely be unveiled at the September 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.
