AC Schnitzer 1M Coupe Development Process

AC Schnitzer is currently developing a new tuning program for the BMW 1 Series M Coupe. GTspirit shares some photos of the development process at AC Schnitzer’s workshop. The head designer for this project is Michele Vindante. The photos show how the process is done. Through a computer generated design, small scale clay modeling, final clay modeling, digitalization, and the construction process using carbon fiber or PU-Rim (polyurethane like material). AC Schnitzer’s tuning package for the 1M will include a front lip, rear diffuser, and roof diffuser all in carbon fiber. It will also have a roof spoiler but it will not be made with CF, 20″ wheels, slip-on exhaust system, and brakes. The suspension kit will lower the 1M by 10 or 20mm. A performance upgrade may also be available for extra power. The AC Schnitzer BMW 1 Series M Coupe will make its debut at the Frankfurt IAA in September.
