The Tokyo Auto Salon is a venue for Japanese tuning firms show off their designs. The tuning community in Japan is pretty awesome and very active, so this show is always interesting to witness. BMW made a big appearance this year with the BMW M2 to the BMW M4 and the 4 Series Gran Coupe.
The BMW M2 is a current favorite in the tuning market, quickly followed be the M4. There were a number of coool widebody versions. The white Vorsteiner M4 was a standout.
The BMW 5 Series Touring by 3D Design looked awesome. It looked clean and subtle but still aggressive and cool. This was not a surprise, given that 3D Design also had a stand of impressive aftermarket parts like carbon fiber exhausts, intercoolers and coilovers to drool for.
The 2 Series Gran Tourer was the surprise. Most 2 Series Gran Tourers in the market basically function as parctical cars. However, it is fun to see it on lowered suspension and new wheels.
