[VIDEO] Get a Glimpse of the 2023 BMW X1 M Sport’s Chic Look

In terms of aesthetics, technology, and comfort, the X1 has unquestionably advanced much since the original E84. Some could argue that the second-generation model’s (F48) conversion to a front-wheel-drive arrangement was a step backward. However, the fact is that consumers in this market don’t care how the power is distributed.

BMW has significantly increased the size of its entry-level X model with the third-generation crossover. The new X1 looks more mature. It’s because of its increased length of 4.5 meters. Nevertheless, it doesn’t necessarily convey that it is the most affordable model of the company’s crossovers. A desirable configuration is visible here by pairing a Mineral White metallic paint finish. It also comes with the M Sport Package and substantial 19-inch wheels.

It’s not cheap at slightly around €57,000. The diesel engine and front-wheel drive configuration contribute to this, particularly with the addition of several extra features. This includes adaptive LED headlights and Shadowline improvements to conceal some of the exterior features. Its exterior features include the kidney grille and side mirror covers.

As you get inside, the 2023 BMW X1 keeps things straightforward with upholstery that combines Sensatec (fake leather), Alcantara, and blue stitching as standard. It does away with the infotainment system’s rotary knob, like with all variations of the tiny luxury crossover. In connection with that, the X1 will be the first car to have iDrive 9, enabling newly constructed automobiles to run on Android Automotive.

Later this year, BMW plans to launch an M Performance version for the X1 range, marking the first time such an upgrade has been available for the vehicle. It will probably go by the name X1 M35i and have a modified B48 engine with a quad-pipe exhaust system that produces just over 300 horsepower. The Bavarians also have plans for an iX1 electric variant with front-wheel drive.
