The BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE remain two of the most established names in the mid-size luxury SUV class. BMW sets a confident tone with its standard powertrain. The X5 opens with a turbocharged six-cylinder engine, delivering smooth, muscular performance that feels well matched to the vehicle’s size and weight.
