The BMW i8 Protonic Frozen Black Edition is limited not in the number of units but in a more theoretical limitation. The production will begin in April 2017.

For the interior, the BMW i8 Protonic Frozen has an exclusive lettering paired with dark NESO seats with woven yellow and anthracite stitching and the headrest with the embossed BMW i8 logo. The grey seat belt adds a strikingly attractive contrast.

The model showcased in Geneva is based on the 20-inch light-alloy wheels W-spoke 470, carries the laser light headlights and the powertrain with a front electric motor and three-cylinder petrol in the rear. The total power output is 362 hp and a 0-100 achieved in 4.4 seconds. Top speed is limited to 250 km/h. With a 37-kilometer electrical range, it is also possible to push the EU standard consumption to 2.1 liters per 100 kilometers.
