BMW South Africa unveils new i7 in Sparkling Cooper Grey Metallic

BMW South Africa has recently released new images of the i7, a luxury vehicle in the 7 Series lineup. This latest iteration features a subdued unicolor finish in Sparkling Cooper Grey Metallic, with chrome accents throughout the exterior. Unlike the previous M Sport Package, this base trim level showcases individual 21-inch wheels with a titan bronze finish, complementing the body nicely.

The interior of the i7 is a true luxury experience, featuring Merino leather and cashmere wool upholstery with unique quilting and perforations. This optional feature will be available in a Black/Dark Grey combination starting in March. Additionally, the Executive Lounge option offers a reclining seat position for added comfort during long journeys. With a vast wheelbase of 126.6 inches, this 7 Series model is the most spacious yet. It almost matches the standard wheelbase of the Rolls-Royce Ghost.

As with other models in the 7 Series lineup, the i7 features a 31.3-inch Theater Screen and Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system. It also has the optional crystal glass controls for the remaining conventional controls, including the gear selector and iDrive rotary knob. The car’s upper headlight has LED lights arranged in an L shape. To make it look more elegant, it has 14 Swarovski crystals on the exterior.

The i7 also features the latest iDrive 8 system, with a 12.3-inch driver’s display and a 14.9-inch infotainment screen. To enhance the rear passenger experience, BMW has added a 5.5-inch touchscreen in the rear door cards. This allows passengers to adjust climate, audio, seats, ambient lighting, Theater Screen, and sunblinds. Overall, the latest photo gallery of the i7 showcases a departure from previous models in the 7 Series lineup. It will be interesting to see how sales are impacted by BMW’s new interpretation of its flagship vehicle.
