It is a very exciting weekend ahead for BMW fans, not only because of the highly-anticipated unveiling of the 8 Series Concept at Villa d’Este in Italy, but also the premiere of the BMW M4 GT4 at the the Nurburgring endurance race. There is no better way to test this new private racing car than the Green Hell.

The endurance classic will be held at the base of the Eifel Mountains. Behind the wheel will be Dirk Adorf, who will provide commentary for RTL NITRO, BMW Motorsport Junior Ricky Collard, Jörg Weidinger and British motor racing journalist Jethro Bovingdon.

Adorf, Collard and Weidinger are the right men for the job since they also played a big part during the development of the BMW M4 GT4. Most of the testing rounds were done by Adorf and the the latter two were test and development engineers for BMW M GmbH heavily involved in the development process.

BMW has not revealed details yet about the specs of the car. From what has been reported so far, we expect the new GT4 to be prepared for a variety of racing formats. We’ll know for sure in a few days!
