BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe is, hands down, one of the most amazing BMW cars ever. It’s the baby version of the 6 Series Gran Coupe, and it combines the practicality of four doors and the style of a coupe.
Top Gear agrees with our opinion. Their crew has recently reviewed the new 4 Series Gran Coupe Facelift after driving it for a while, and their verdict is clear – it could easily be the best BMW model at the moment.
They mention several reasons for making that bold statement. First of all, the car runs on a 3.0-liter turbocharged I6 diesel engine, good for 309 HP and 465 lb-ft of torque. Moreover, the car is able to get from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, which means it’s really close to the M240i performance-wise but also has the mentioned four doors and a usable hatchback.
In practice, the 435d Gran Coupe is driving effortlessly in any given situation, no matter the gear or the rpm. As Top Gear puts it, “There’s no real moment of impact, no thwack in the seat of the pants, but it just oozes forth and gains enormous, addictive momentum.â€
What’s surprising is the fact that it’s more fun to drive than the Coupe version of the same model. TG claims it feels better in the daily driving experience.
