BMW will soon unveil the second generation BMW 1 Series. It will first launch in three and five-door variants. Next year, the new Coupe and Convertible will follow. Here are new photo renderings for the 2012 BMW 1 Series Hatchback that will be unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. This new generation 1 Series hatchback features a slightly longer wheelbase and wider track than its predecessor. Still a rear-wheel drive, it also shares the same L7 architecture as the next 3 series. Overall, the design of this vehicle is more aggressive and shows modern concave and convex design lines. The bonnet has the same sporty creases seen on the new 5, 6 and 7 Series. lines flowing from the rear-quarter to the front.
