Celebrate the 50th anniversary of BMW M with this video from Auto Express. Here Steve Sutcliffe takes the best BMW M cars on a drive.

In celebration of their half-century anniversary, BMW M released special edition cars. We saw the BMW M4 CSL and some other classics as well. One way to celebrate this remarkable moment is to check this video. Auto Express featured some of the greatest BMW M Cars in this clip.

Steve Sutcliffe takes several of the M Division’s best cars on a drive. Bimmers like the BMW M1, the E30 M3, the E39 M5, and the E92 M3 GTS are in the video. The latest G80 BMW M3 also made an appearance. Interestingly, he drives each BMW M car in chronological order. This will give you an idea of how the BMW M improved over its 50 years of existence.

Sutcliffe also felt how each generation of M car felt different. It is also intriguing that some of these do not feel like real M cars. These particular cars will reveal the weak spots in BMW M’s history. On the other hand, you’ll also see here the golden times of the BMW M where they got things right.

Steve Sutcliffe’s expressions will tell you exactly which cars felt special on track. Although most of them made Sutcliffe smile, not all really gave him the fun. Of course, the E30 M3 is among those that gave Sutcliffe the most fun.

There were also some surprises in the video. For example, we did not expect Sutcliffe to really like the E92 M3 GTS. But based on his expressions, it is obvious that he had the most fun with this one.
