Getting the crowd even more excited for the production shape of the recently confirmed BMW 8 Series, is this spy video from the Ring. A prototype was spotted testing in Nurburgring. There is a remote possibility that this is the BMW M8 because of the mean V8 sound coming from the exhaust pipes. If you use good headphones to hear this video out, you can appreciate the growl that this V8 is giving out, which takes a spot on the list of best sounding BMWs engined in the last 10 years.

The prototype is wearing heavy camouflage so it is hard to determine the exterior details. The smaller kidney grilles is quite visible and we see that this is smaller than the concept. It also seems to have bigger headlights.

Before the new BMW 8 Series comes out next year, details will be scarce. As of now, we know that there will be an entry-level 840i on the table as well as a top of the range M8.
