MINI rumored to be working on “Canyon Project”

A BMW insider shares this interesting news for MINI fans. Rumor has it that MINI is brewing up a model similar to the Countryman to expand their fleet: the MINI Canyon Project.

Looks like the MINI Canyon Project will go through instead of the “Beachbomber Concept” that is still a production model until now. Specifically aiming at the corporate market, MINI Canyon will surely offer elegance and style that fits the corporate image.

The MINI Canyon will have three-door vehicle built under the Countryman platform. But this will be a little shorter and will have the All4 drivetrain. The MINI coupe formula is translated into a small Activity MINI spacious enough for 4 people. It will also have a luggage box built into the roof for extra flexibility.

If the MINI Canyon project will be green-lighted for production, it will be a great addition to the MINI fleet. This will help in widening their market range.
