There is a connection that a car owner has with his vehicle. No matter how simple or grand the car is, when you drive it everyday and you have cared for it for some time, there is an attachment formed. Thus, letting go is always such a sweet sorrow, regardless of the reason behind it. Nick Murray, a YouTube star, shares how hard it was to bid farewell to his beloved BMW M4, on this video.
Murray’s M4 has appeared in multiple videos in the past year and he did really push the car to its limits when it comes to having fun. At one point, he even tried to do atug-of-war with a Toyota Tacoma in the snow.
He need to say farewell to his beloved M4 because he’s purchasing a Porsche 911. On his last day of ownership, he decided to document his drive from his home in Connecticut to the new owner in Long Island. During this trip, he discusses what he loved about owning the M4 and also shares bits and pieces of what could have been better.
A few of the negatives were the over-the-top customizable settings which you have to set up each time you hop on the car. It was more of an annoyance than a problem, since there are programmable “M Buttons†on the steering wheel as well that sets up in single push of a button. He also was annoyed that there’s no way to put the M4, with a DCT gearbox, in park unless you turn it off and then press the Start/Stop button again. An alternative would be putting it in neutral and pulling the hand-brake.
Overall, Murray had more positive feelings about his car than negatives. He would make the decision to but it again if he turned back time.
