[VIDEO] BMW X7 LCI Goes Head to Head with Range Rover

Only one brand has dominated the market for large, three-row luxury SUVs for decades: Range Rover. Big Ranges have, perhaps, occasionally been unreliable, but that hasn’t stopped wealthy individuals from snapping them up like hotcakes. The Range Rover’s size makes it a terrific family vehicle with the off-road prowess to keep it capable in any weather. As a result, it’s an excellent luxury SUV for a good reason. The BMW X7 debuted a few years ago, and after a redesign, it is now better than ever. Can it, therefore, actually defeat the big Range?

In this brand-new Carwow video, the BMW X7 LCI competes against the large Range Rover to determine which three-row luxury SUV is superior. More particularly, we examine if the BMW X7 M60i can take on the Range Rover LWB (Long Wheelbase). The BMW has a new S68 twin-turbo V8 in this test, while the Range Rover has a six-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. Thus, performance won’t be comparable. Instead, what’s essential is whether the BMW can keep up with the Range Rover’s luxury and room.

This Range Rover is significantly more expensive than the BMW. However, it doesn’t have many features, even with its turbo-diesel engine. Both vehicles include seven seats, heated and cooled seats, elaborate entertainment systems, abundant luxurious materials, and the same technological components. They do, however, have advantages and disadvantages.

Thanks to a more attractive appearance and some more opulent accents in the second row, the Range Rover feels more luxurious inside. Land Rover sought to push the Range Rover more upmarket. Maybe even compete with Bentley, so it feels more special in many aspects. The BMW X7 is made with higher-quality materials. The Range Rover has higher highs but lower lows than the Bimmer. The X7 might not have the luxurious leather headliner or wonderfully thick carpeting but it also lacks the cheap plastic on some of the Range Rover’s door panel pieces.

They are far more evenly matched on the road than you might imagine. They occasionally spar, with each excelling in different areas, but overall they are startlingly similar. The conclusion of this review is far more intriguing than you might have anticipated, so it’s worthwhile to watch.
