[Video] BMW X6 M50i dares the Porsche Cayenne Turbo

We have seen how the BMW X6 M Competition tried to take on the Lamborghini Urus recently. But now, let us take a closer look at some of the other good-looking and fast SUVs. The BMW X6 M50i tries to stand up to another VAG, but this time, with the Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Another BMW-VAG match-up to check out. The Cayenne Turbo uses the same platform as the Urus, only with a slight difference in specs. Track Day puts both cars on track, and the results came unexpectedly. To make things more interesting, Track Day also adds the BMW X5 in the race. Find out more from this newly released video by Track Day.

Both cars share the same bases, down to the engine. Yet, the Porsche uses a V8 engine with lower output and a different gearbox. It uses a powerful 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 but only makes 550 horsepower and 770 Nm (568 lb-ft) of torque. The Cayenne Turbo comes in an eight-speed automatic gearbox, running on an all-wheel-drive setup. Porsche claims that it sprints at about 3.9 seconds from 0-100 km/h (62 mph).

The X6 misses the shift on the first try. However, it gets interesting as the BMW X6 M50i rolls up. The M50i is a lot closer to the Turbo in terms of performance with its 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. BMW claims that their X6 M50i makes 530 horsepower and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque, which we all know is underrated by the Brits. The X6 could probably make more than that. This video focuses more on the X5 M and the Cayenne. Yet, it is safe to say that nobody expects the Porsche to get against the more powerful Bavarian SUV.

BMW claims that the X6 M50i is 0.4 seconds slower than the Cayenne Turbo from 0-100 km/h (62 mph). But, the results came out shocking and pretty impressive.
