A prototype of the BMW i3 was spied near the Leipzig plant and spy photographers believe that this is already production ready.  The tank cover on the front right fender indicates a prototype with the REx Range Extender which increases the range of the i3 to 250 miles from 90 miles on the electric charge only. Side mirrors with integrated signal indicators and special wheels with tires size 155/70 R19 a the front and 175 mm wide tires on the rear are also revealed. The production-ready BMW i3 is expected to debut in September at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show.
