Surprisingly, the X7 has proved to be one of the best BMW’s on sale right at this moment. It’s an exceptional luxury SUV despite representing the complete opposite of what the brand should be. Although, it’s a new segment for BMW to compete in, BMW X7 already appears to be on top. But even the X7 is not exempted to having flaws – like its unattractive appearance for one. The integrated (original BMW) monstrous grille just doesn’t feel right with the X7. Fortunately soon, it will be getting an LCI facelift (We don’t own these spy shots but you can check the gallery here).
These spy shots show the BMW X7 in an indicative camouflage on the front and rear ends, suggesting an apparent nip and tuck session. However, BMW should realize that X7 isn’t going to magically become beautiful overnight without replacing the monstrous grille with something smaller. Yet there appears to be some promising small modifications that could make a significant impact to it’s overall design.
As an example, it looks like the X7 will get an all-new set of headlights that is particularly larger than before. Which is good because it replaces its current squinty headlights that seems disproportionate to the rest of its face. A larger, more proportionate headlights is definitely better as it makes the X7 look more cohesive. And integrating the grilles into the front end better is a plus to make its appearance more conceptualized.
As for the rear, it seems to have no significant changes. Its tailights are mostly the same behind those camo, while the exhausts and the overall shape of the tailgate also look the same. So ideally, the X7 bum’s will have very minor tweaks. That’s totally okay considering the back end is the best looking aspect of the car.
When it comes to the interior, I can’t help but look forward to a more grandeur cabin. While the interior is lovely on its own, its just too lacking when you look at it. We hope to see BMW step it up as the BMW X7 is a smashing six-figure luxury SUV.
