Utilizing shared powertrain technology, both brands aim to reduce costs and offer distinct models with fuel cell powertrains that maintain their unique identities. BMW’s future FCEVs will deliver the brand’s signature performance and innovation, while Toyota’s offerings will integrate this advanced technology into their vehicles without sacrificing brand identity.

In addition to developing vehicles, BMW and Toyota are advocating for a robust hydrogen refuelling infrastructure. They are collaborating with governments and industry partners to create the framework to support hydrogen mobility, aiming to make FCEVs a mainstream solution for passenger and commercial vehicles.
