BMW confirms RWD for upcoming 2 Series Coupe

For those who are wondering about the future of the BMW 2 Series range, BMW has released an official statement that the 2 Series Coupe will remain as a RWD. In an interview with Auto Express, BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe product manager, Gernot Stuhl, said that the 2 Series Coupe successor is already being worked on. Aside from being a rear-wheel drive, it will keep the straight six engine. “There will be a successor that will be on a rear-wheel-drive platform, so customers who want and need a new 2 Series coupe will find that in our line-up, as well as those who want a six-cylinder,” said Stuhl.
