MINI has joined forces with Paul Smith to create a limited-run look that blends British design wit with the brand’s compact, go-kart character. The MINI Paul Smith Edition spans the Cooper line-up, pairing familiar proportions and short overhangs with bespoke colour and trim touches that lean into Paul Smith’s “Classic with a Twist” approach without losing MINI’s cheeky attitude.
The first model to arrive is the fully electric MINI Cooper SE Paul Smith Edition, putting its design statement on a clean, quiet drivetrain. With 218 hp sent to the front wheels, it delivers brisk off-the-line punch and the sort of instant response that suits city streets and slip roads alike, wrapping modern EV muscle in a three-door silhouette that still reads unmistakably MINI.
Outside, each version has its own wardrobe choices. Midnight Black brings a sharper, more traditional presence, while the roof carries a subtle take on the Paul Smith stripe motif using glossy and matt black rather than bright colour. Another headline paint is Inspired White, paired with a Nottingham Green roof for a crisp contrast, and a stripe detail along the driver’s-side roof edge that adds a flash of personality. Statement Grey also joins the palette, giving the collection a cooler, more understated option.
Nottingham Green is the thread that ties the whole range together, appearing on mirror caps, the octagonal grille surround and the wheel hub caps, each finished with Paul Smith branding. The stance is completed by 18-inch Night Flash Spoke Black alloys with a darkened finish, which visually tightens the car’s footprint and adds a more purposeful, planted look.
Inside, the theme shifts to quiet humour and tactile detail. Nightshade Blue seats and dark knitted surfaces keep things clean and premium, while tone-on-tone striping brings texture without shouting. Open the door, and you’re greeted by a projected “Hello”, followed by a door-sill message—“Every day is a new beginning”—that sets the mood. The steering wheel carries a textile band in Paul Smith’s signature stripes at the lower spoke, and a hand-drawn rabbit graphic on the floor mat adds a wink of personality. The electric Cooper SE version is already rolling out in selected markets, with the wider Cooper family—including five-door and convertible—due to follow in Q2 2026.
