All-Electric MINI Cooper SE Spied With A Facelift

The Cooper lineup, by MINI, will be given yet another LCI facelift according to our resources recently, and it is likely because of the delay of a new model as to what the BMW Group has decided. Apparently, that very facelift might also be incorporated to the new all-electric MINI Cooper SE, as revealed by these new spy images. (You can see photos here from a different source.)

It can be seen clearly from these photos that the MINI Cooper SE is wearing a heavy camouflage that covers its entire ear. Comparing the current car, it’s hard to see how different it is with the new facelift because of all the yellow and black camo. Though there are a few things that appear a bit different, such as what looks like to be a vertical air intakes flanking either side of the front bumper and a grille shape that is slightly different. However, BMW Group obviously added fake body panels to test mules before, so we can’t really know for sure these changes are legitimate.

Evidently, we can tell that this car is, indeed, the all-electric MINI Cooper SE with its Cooper SE wheels and the lack of exhaust pipes. However, there’s no saying for sure about any sort of changes it might have.

For one, any sort of mechanical changes to the electric MINI is still not certain. Although, we doubt that there will be any significant changes underneath the skin. So power and range are expected to stay around the same as the current car’s 110 miles of EPA-rated range and 181 horsepower. As much as we’d like to see more range, that would only happen by way of a battery upgrade but that is still highly unlikely. So expect the same range of 32.6 kWh battery.

The changes for the all-electric MINI are likely to be entirely cosmetic, as it stays true to its commitment to make their cars feel as modern as possible while newer set of models come out from competitors.
