The classic MINI Cooper, in production for nearly 40 years, has not suffered the purist enthusiasm that has struck other brands; MINI owners modify their cars. Gildred Racing of Buellton, CA, modifies these cars as well as maintains and restores them, and Zack and Matt went to go for a visit and try a couple of cars. This one, a 1974 example, was originally built by Mini-Tec and features a complete powertrain swap from the Honda CR-V small crossover, including a 240 HP B20 Engine with VTEC, manual gearbox, and fully functional all-wheel drive.
