BMW’s 200K Sales Milestone in Brazil

In 1995, BMW entered Brazil, later manufacturing locally at Araquari since 2014. This month, they celebrate a milestone: 200,000 cars sold in 28 years. The 3 Series has been a key player, driving 40% of sales and leading Brazil’s luxury car market in both 2022 and H1 2023.

The Araquari factory in Santa Catarina produces the G20 model, X1, X3, and X4, crucial for both local and export markets.

In just nine years, over 90,000 vehicles rolled off the assembly line. This makes they Araquari the continent’s largest luxury car factory at 1.5 million square meters.

Beyond manufacturing success, Brazil hosts innovative BMW dealerships. BMW Grand Brasil in Sao Paulo, with its “Retail Next” experience, spans six floors and 14,500 square meters. It resembles a boutique hotel, featuring high-end furniture, a coffee shop, body and paint shops, and even a helipad.
