BMW iX2 & X2 M35i: New Photos from UK Launch - BMW.SG | BMW Singapore Owners Community

BMW iX2 & X2 M35i: New Photos from UK Launch

Last month, BMW UK unveiled the first-ever iX2 electric and the new BMW X2 M35i. These two models are unparalleled in comparison. Despite similar power outputs, they deliver power very differently. The iX2 relies on a dual electric motor to power all four wheels, while a 2.0-litre four-cylinder B48 engine powers the BMW X2 M35i.

The BMW iX2 xDrive30 boasts rapid acceleration, reaching 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 5.6 seconds. Its top speed is electronically capped at 112 mph (180 km/h). The iX2 and xDrive30 share a combined output of 313 horsepower (230 kW) and 364 lb-ft (494 Nm). Showcasing BMW’s commitment to electric mobility, the iX2 xDrive30 offers a WLTP cycle range of 259 to 279 miles (417 to 449 kilometres) with 309 horsepower.

The X1 M35i, like the X2 M35i, utilizes the same B48 engine. It produces 312 horsepower in the US, but emissions regulations reduce its output to 296 hp in Europe. However, its torque of 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) remains consistent across all markets. The US model accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 5.2 seconds. With slightly less power, the European model takes 5.4 seconds to hit 62 mph (100 km/h).

The BMW iX2 and X2 inherit their interior design from the X1 and iX1, featuring the advanced iDrive 9 system. This infotainment system enhances user engagement with QuickSelect for easier access to favourites, regular over-the-air updates, and improved third-party app support.

Both crossovers offer an M Sport package for those seeking a sportier look and performance with aerodynamic exterior details. For an even more distinct style and functionality, the M Sport package Pro adds an M rear spoiler, M lighting Shadowline, extended M High-gloss Shadowline exterior trim, and an M Sport brake system with red callipers.

Customers can choose from eleven metallic finishes and two solid colours, with the new Fire Red metallic option catching the eye. Additionally, a broad selection of BMW Individual custom paint jobs and two Frozen colours are available.
