In Austria, the Z4 M40i has a base price of €77,140. But this build included more than €11,000 worth of options. The Innovation Package includes the BMW Live Cockpit Professional and a head-up display. This also includes Parking Assistant and interior/exterior mirror kits, which are the most expensive of the group. The Comfort Access, a heated steering wheel, and electrically adjustable seats with lumbar support were also part of the region-specific Austria Package.
The Z4 has experienced a redesign, yet it retains the older iDrive system, making it comparable to the 8 Series LCI. Even after the early 2022 update for the big Coupe, Convertible, and Gran Coupe, it still features the previous-generation infotainment. This M40i model boasts glossy black dashboard trim and black leather Vernasca upholstery.
All Z4 M Performance variants come with an automatic transmission. However, sources suggest a manual M40i is in development. With Z4 production likely ending in March 2026, this three-pedal layout could be the final upgrade for the stylish roadster.
Toyota’s six-cylinder, six-speed Supra has been available for a while, making a clutch pedal Z4 M40i highly anticipated. The Supra’s 6MT, a modified ZF unit from the rear-wheel-drive Z4, provides easy access to necessary hardware.
