Two former BMW Executives are being hired by Lotus Cars

Reports say that Lotus Cars is trying to court two former BMW executives to be their advisers. Lotus is trying to negotiate with former BMW of North America CEO Tom Purves and former BMW sales chief Bob Lutz, who has also previously worked with General Motors. Both of these ex-BMW executives have helped bring about groundbreaking success to BMW, MINI, and Rolls Royce during their time.

Lotus is trying to get both Purves and Lutz to work for their team to help them in their five-year turnaround plan. But no formal offers have been made yet.

If Lotus gets Purves and Lutz to work for them, it will be a 90 years of industry experience combined. This will most likely help them boost their sales and get back into competition with Ferrari, Porsche, or Aston Martin.
